Bring The Thrill of the Tailgate Home For the Ultimate Football Party
There's nothing quite like a true football tailgate party. As the smell of grilled meat and chip dip mixes with beer, sweat and other smells that might be wafting through the parking lot, chances are you've wondered if it might be better done at home next time. Typically though, "home gates" end up being too fancy, too much trouble, and mean tons of cleanup - but no more! Here's our party plan to ensure that your next football party is a huge success while bringing the authenticity and character that you love about hanging out in the parking lot before the game.

A Glimpse Of the Future While Exploring The Cox Smart Home
As you know, I'm a huge fan of smart home technology - well tech in any form for that matter! So when Cox invited me to stop by their event and see some examples of smart home technology powered by their Gigablast Internet at a swanky penthouse apartment 47 floors above San Diego I jumped at the opportunity.

Understanding Invisible Disabilities
When people hear or read the world disability they inevitably imagine a wheelchair or crutches. These outwardly visable disabilities are easy to spot and most people are extremely compassionate and accommodating, but what about someone who has a hidden disability? Are you quick to judge that someone is taking a spot they shouldn't be or receiving benefits that aren't due? It can be a challenge since many of us are wired to assume people are taking advantage of others but that isn't always the case.

What To Look For When Selecting a Phone Case
There once was a time when I looked at cell phone cases simply as something "other people" bought... I didn't need a case, I'm always careful with my phone. Right? Wrong... The reality is that phones today are super fragile and at the same time exposed to all sorts of different dangers from accidental drops to being scratched against keys in your pocket or backpack. That's why it's important to select the right case and not all are created equal!

I'm Staying Cool with My Wallaroo Palmer Hat!
I love hats but I never really appreciated them like I do during the summer in San Diego. Typically, I'm a baseball hat wearing guy, but recently I've decided to branch out and explore other styles as well. This is in part due to the simple fact that while a baseball cap might offer a nice brim to protect the front of your face, it doesn't provide much protection other than that and frankly it's not stylish outside of casual gatherings. That's why I was excited when Wallaroo Hats invited me to check out some of their product this summer and so I chose the Palmer due to it's ability to be folded and then pop right back up (very important for when you travel). Plus, it looks great and has a wide brim to protect from the sun.

What We Saw At The Chicago Auto Show (and some things we didn't)
At this year’s 110th edition of the Chicago Auto Show, the buzz was all about trucks and SUVs as they continue to rack up record sales. Alternatively, almost every automaker touched on their autonomous vehicle programs, but no one will discuss when day zero will happen, or how autonomous vehicles will affect sales.

Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is Perfect for a Palm Springs Getaway
At first glance, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk doesn't look much different than it's brothers in the lineup, but once you begin to look deeper it becomes more intriguing. There are bold red tow hooks popping out on the front, a black stripe covering the hood, better off road tires, and it rides a bit higher. Inside though are all the things I liked about the Grand Cherokee that we reviewed previously. What Jeep has done is created the Grand Cherokee that it should have made before... and I loved driving it for the week that they let me borrow it. For this trip, we set out to the Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells - part of greater Palm Springs for an epic adventure on and off the road.

Road Trip Review: 2018 Chevy Bolt EV
I'm a huge fan of electric vehicles. The promise of emissions free car travel that is both quick and quiet is something of a dream for simply cruising down the road and enjoying a beautiful landscape. Unfortunately, until recently EVs were expensive, had limited range, and in many cases were "Electric Vehicles" as opposed to cars powered by electric motors. That last point is a subtle distinction but an important one. While I enjoyed the promise of cars like the Kia Soul EV and the Mitsubishi iMIEV they were really products designed for a limited audience. With the Chevrolet Bolt EV, Chevy is offering a car that doesn't sacrifice anything.

I travel a lot and when I do, it's nice to be able to check on the home and watch my dog to see what she's up. There's something comforting about being able to monitor the house when you aren't there that makes it easier to enjoy where you are and what you are doing.

GoSafe 520 Dashcam Review
Like many things, dashcams are more popular overseas - especially in Russia and I'm sure you guys have seen those crazy car accident videos and wondered, "how on earth did they capture that?" The simple answer is that millions of people around the world are starting to install dashcams or dashboard cameras and frankly I think it's just a matter of time before it becomes standard as a feature for new cars. Today though, we're going to talk about the GoSafe 520 dashcam that we were provided for a review during our drive around Vegas last month.
