This review of Loom Footwear's waterproof sneakers was a bit challenging because on one hand I REALLY liked the shoes, they were well made and super comfortable... but as a size 13 guy with one foot a bit bigger than the other, well... it just didn't fit right.  They did send a pair to my wife and her feet were a bit more narrow and so it fit better than than mine did.  The key to success here is for guys with big feet, order a size larger than you think you need.

These Chore Farm Leather Chelsea boots really caught my eye. While “The Original Muck Boot Company” has a far more utilitarian heritage - with a name that evokes trudging through damp soil while doing farm work and needing to be rugged enough to protect your feet from whatever your are trudging through - while being able to clean off that “muck” from your feet - these on the other hand are as stylish as they are rugged. Plus, they fit great too!

You know the people... those ones bopping their head while walking down the street and sometimes they are talking to themselves. We used to mock these people staying they must be high or pity them for being mentally insane. I can't promise that your golf game will improve but these glasses will help with depth perception and reducing the distraction that heavier sunglasses might cause when out on the course. Uswing is an interesting brand that I like .. but can't quite get my head around since it produces a product that offers surprisingly good quality but the packaging and presentation makes it feel like a cheap Chinese imitation. 

Living in San Diego, I've become somewhat of a flip flops snob as they are pretty much all I ever wear unless I'm going somewhere that needs protection from the weather or more support. The brand Florsheim is widely recognized but I feel like many folks - including myself - identify it as more conservative, fancier, and though very well constructed... not always the most comfortable shoes. That has clearly changed in the last few years as two of my absolutely favorite and most comfortable shoes are made by Florsheim. This includes the Lakeside "boat shoe" that I took with me on a recent cruise and has now earned it's place as my preferred show for traveling.

There are boots and other pieces of clothing that I buy because it looks good - and others I buy because it's practical. I love it though when I find a great pair of boots that is stylish, rugged, and has a great story and deep heritage behind it. That's what I found in these Blundstone Super 550 Boots that they sent me to review. It would have been a shame to simply wear them around town, so I took them on an adventure along the California coast, exploring Big Sur and Carmel.

Hats are an essential part of my traveling gear since frankly I don't like to use sunscreen except when I really need it.
