I love gadgets and I love cooking up tasty recipes ... sometimes though I just want to make a quick meal for myself with as little effort as possible. This has lead me on a quest to find the perfect airfryer. What I've found over the past couple years is that quite honestly - it's a "Goldilocks" type situation ... too small, too bulky, not powerful enough, everything has tradeoffs that make it less than perfect. However, I'm absolutely in love with my latest machine - the Dreo ChefMaker Combi Fryer does everything I like, gives great feedback, is easy to use and not unimportantly .. it looks good on my kitchen counter too!

However, this is the only area where I have real disappointment ... it's not Dreo's fault. This is a machine that is PERFECT for a mancave or home bar ... think of it like an autochef, more than a cooker ready to whip up enough pork chops to feed the guys during half time.

I wish it were though because it does that nearly perfectly. Till then though, we're pretty darn happy with it's ability to turn frozen tots into tasty treats, create buffalo cauliflower bites, reheat left  overs, and it is the first time I've been able to do a pork chop properly in an air fryer.

This is in part because it not only has a great cooking element that is capable of delivering precise even heating - like an air sous vide - but it can also deliver a knock out punch at the end to give a nice sear to the meat as well. 

Unlike most other air fryers, it also has a water tank for steam infusion, expanding its cooking possibilities. This helps to keep food moist rather than drying out when it cooks.

This Is A Must For Tailgates and Mancaves!

I love it! It's absolutely a must have cooking gadget for any home bar, mancave, or even tailgating if you have a place to plug it in. The only two things that I wish were better are the price - it's listed for $359 which isn't terrible for what it does (and there are very aggressive sale prices that make it even more reasonable), and the other issue is I wish it were bigger. If I could put 4 pork chops in there or enough fried shrimp for a bunch of guys to enjoy at half time then this would be the perfect cooking gadget. 

It is still good though and not everyone needs to feed a football team, so for quickly preparing some healthy keto-friendly meals or "frying" up a couple chicken legs without the mess and fuss of throwing it on a frying pan ... this is a great option!
