On the far end of Geneva Lake from Lake Geneva, WI lies a fantastic little resort that is emerging as one of the top romantic destinations in South Eastern Wisconsin. The Abbey Resort has just gone through a huge renovation and re-branding and is one of our favorite places for a romantic weekend escape.
While the Lake Geneva area is probably better known for the Grand Geneva Resort, The Abbey is a perfect and welcome addition to the area, with an extraordinary spa, beautiful rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere that Grand Geneva just can't match. For Heather and I specifically, the biggest difference between the resorts is that The Abbey is the ONLY resort that is actually on the lake!
Our room was comfy cozey with a great view of the lake and wooden beams that made for a perfect resort feel.
No romantic getaway is complete without a great spa and the Abbey Resort does not disapoint!
They even have a private hot tub suite where you can hang out and get a massage or take a dip in the spa.
