A casino opening is almost always a big event (after all they want to do whatever they can to attract you and your money!). Today's opening at the River City Casino in St. Louis looks to be no different.
They are doing it St. Louis style, with Clydesdales, baseball stars, vintage cars, and what is being described as St. Louis' Largest Slot Pull.
Press Release begins ...

River City Casino opens to the public, including the 90,000-sq.-ft. casino floor; five unique restaurants (Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse, Lewy Nine's Café, Burger Brothers, 1904 Beerhouse, and the 350-seat Great Food Exposition buffet); the 75-seat entertainment hub of River City, Judy's Velvet Lounge; the VIP room; and the Grand Court.
Missouri Gaming Commission Executive Director Gene McNary will officially deliver River City's gaming license.
General Manager Todd George and St. Louis Cardinals legend Ozzie Smith will throw the ceremonial first dice.
The celebration will continue with a procession down River City Casino Blvd., featuring the Budweiser Beer Wagon, Budweiser Clydesdales, 1904-era cars, and Jeff Ruby Motorcoach. The procession will be followed by a ceremony outside the River City porte cochere and the symbolic first pull of an 8-foot slot machine.
