Rock and Roll, Video Games, and Uber Chic? It's Hotel Sax Chicago!

Are you looking for the ultimate mancation hotel in the Windy City?

Well Hotel Sax Chicago should top your list of choices! Imagine a luxury hotel that combines pretty much everything that us guys could want for a mancation ... awesome electronics, including Xbox 360's, wide screen HDTV's, super chic rock and roll styled decor, and depending on your room they might even give you a Microsoft Zune to borrow during your stay.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that it is right next to Hotel Sax are two of Chicago's greatest steakhouses? (Morton's of Chicago is a 10 min walk and Smith & Wollensky's is less than a minute away) Plus, Hotel Sax is virtually attached to House of Blues Chicago! What more could you want?

Guests at Hotel Sax know immediately that this is not your ordinary hotel from the moment they walk into the lobby. Instead of that warm, traditional brown and grey color scheme of most upscale hotels, Hotel Sax features a chic and somewhat minimalist white walls, with red couches that just scream hippster. As we discovered, this red, white, and gray color scheme is carried throughout the entire hotel.

Hotel Sax offers a variety of rooms for different budgets ranging simple guest rooms to Jr. Guest Suites and even the famous Chairman's Suite. If you are looking for the ultimate Chicago mancation, you can't get much better than staying in this suite. It has room for including an amazing home theater setup running Windows Media Center and has FOUR video screens! This amazing suite even features a gumball machine built into the wall, a full bar, dining room table and for some reason they even included a desk that wouldn't be out of place in the chicest of media mogul offices ... though this room is built for play, not work.

As you can see from the image above, the Chairman's Suite isn't your only option for getting your game on at Hotel Sax and they have even included a martini bar along with some great snacks to compliment the chic rock and roll feeling of the hotel.

Don't worry though, if your mancation plans call for a little bit smaller budget than getting a suite, you can still stay at Hotel Sax and enjoy the ultimate video games experience. Available to every guest is The Microsoft Experience, and features a home theater setup, Xbox 360 game stations, Zunes and one of the coolest windows I have ever seen. This window actually turns from opaque to translucent with a flick of a switch! The entire room is the ultimate video game experience with awesome colored lighting and the latest gaming toys from Microsoft.

If your mancation style is more about rock and roll than video games, then you should head downstairs to Hotel Sax's Crimson Lounge. Whether you are seeking a place to stop at before heading over to the Foundation Room at the House of Blues, or heading back up to your room after a fantastic steak dinner at Smith and Wollensky's Crimson Louge can't be missed. Like most upscale lounges, it has bottle service as well as semi-private areas where a group of friends on a mancation can gather and share stories.
